Tom jued keto noodles
Tom Jued Woon Sen is one of my favoriet Thai soups. As it contains too many carbs for the Keto diet I’ve adapted the soup a little to still enjoy it while on the Keto Diet.
Ingredients
- konjac noodles
- muchrooms
- 1 chinese cabbage
- 3 red serrano peppers
- 300 gr chopped meat of preference
- egg tofu
- 1 Thai chili (if you prefer you can use pepper)
- fried garlic
- spring onions
- cilantro
- 3 litres of broth (or bouillon cubes/stock cubes)
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
Preparations
- Follow the perparation instructions on your konjac noodles (all brands have different instructions)
- Cut all your vegetables, egg tofu and herbes into smaller pieces.
- Chop the chillies.
Preparation method
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pot. Add the chopped chilli and stir for a few seconds.
- Add the broth and chopped meat. Let it cook until the chopped meat gets a little cooked on the outside.
- Add the mushrooms, pepers and 2 tablespoons fish sauce.
- Let it cook for 3 minutes and add the chinese cabage.
- Cook for only 1 minute and turn off the heat.
- Taste the soup. If it needs more salt add more fish sauce.
- If you like the flavor add the noodles and the pieces of spring onions and cilantro.
