OTOP Uthai Thani
OTOP stands for One Tambon One Product. OTOP sells the products that are considered the superior products of that subdistrict that has to represent their tambon or subdistrict.
Every subdistrict has a large variety of local products. There were many different kinds of edibles. From curry paste to fried sweet potatoes.
A large variety of Uthai Thani non-edible OTOP products can be bought here. For example baskets, mugs, statuettes, hand woven fabrics, leatherwork and so on.
Uthai Thani is famous for its metalwork. The highest grade of metal knives can be bought at the OTOP Center.
Besides from the sales stalls there is a OTOP shop at the right of the area which has even more food, gadgets and souvenirs. And at the left there is a informative hall (I don’t know what to call it).
It is a round hall with some history about Uthai Thani written on the wall. I found it very interesting to see and read.
The Uthai Thani OTOP Center is located on the main road (333) to Nakhon Sawan. It is located about 9 kilometer from the city center. It is open from 8:30 until 16:30 and has no entrance fee.
