Mirabelle Hua Hin

Mirabelle-Hua-Hin-banner My first lunch in Hua Hin was in Mirabelle. A bit difficult to find because it was in such a small long street, but to me it was worth looking for. I can imagine that if you are on a short holiday from a country where baguettes, patisserie and cheese are daily food Mirabelle isn’t the place for you. I live in Uthai Thani where I can’t even buy bread (other than the once for toast at 7 eleven). For me this place was heaven!

Because I couldn’t decide the owner, a nice French gentleman kindly made a plate of tasters with cheese, smoked meat and olives. My husband and I ate this with freshly made bread and French red wine. Writing about it I’m getting goosebumps again. It was delicious!

It actually is more of a luxurious sandwich and cheese shop to me rather than a restaurant. It’s a great place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch or an appetizer like the mixed plate he made for my husband and me.

Two days later I went back for a sandwich for lunch. I choose my own ingredients. The owner frowned his eyebrows and smiled when I asked him for salade, smoked ham, brie cheese and honey. Apparently that combination is strange in France, but he made it with a lot of care.

Of the 3 days I stayed in Hua Hin, I ate there twice and I say that without shame. I would definitely do it again!
