Working outside in Thailand

garden-banner My husband and I decided to finally start working in the garden. We’ve been living here for 7 months now, so it’s about time!

We did underestimate how hard work it is I think. Or we don’t know how to handle the Thai tools. It’s all so different. Their shovels are so short. I know the Thai are a bit smaller in general, but that’s not in the right proportions. Now I understand why the elder workers walk crooked.

My husband and I get up early every day we want to work in the garden and have to stop really early, because it gets too hot for us very fast.

We could hire somebody to do it, but I don’t know where to find somebody around here. Even if I did find somebody willing to work in the garden, how am I going to explain what I want from him. That’s why we started working in the garden ourselves.

I’m wondering how long it will take for us to finish that garden and how it will look eventually. I hope it will all be worth it, because the heat is killing me.
