His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who was born on 5 December 1927, tragically passed away on the 13th of October 2016. Aged 88 His Majesty The King passed away peacefully in the Siriraj Hospital at 3:52 pm (local time).
He was the 9th King of the Chakri Dynasty also known as King Rama IX. He was the world’s longest-reigning monarch.
The government has set a mourning period of one year. The government asked that entertainment events be suspended for one month, as a sign of respect.
My heart goes out to all the Thai people who are mourning over the passing of their beloved late King.
